Favorite race, favorite province, favorite game

I am just wondering if people tend to gravitate towards the game that features their favorite race predominately and if that has an effect on what their favorite province is. Now granted there are provinces that havn't been featured yet (unless you want to count ESO) and some races havn't been fully explored but I think there have been enough games that have been to a variety of places to where this is a valid question. I will start.

1. Favorite Race: Nords, They were my favorite race to play as in the Oblivion days so when Skyrim came out I was thrilled that game would take place in their homeland. Love their warrior culture loosely based on norse mythology and I love how they fit in TES lore.

2. Favorite Game: Skyrim, and no this isn't simply because it is the new one, as I stated I am a Nord fan and the game centers on Nords and their culture. Of course having the most up to date graphics, gameplay, doesn't hurt either.

3. Favorite Province: Now this one is actually a tougher one for me. Yes I love the rugged beauty and look of Skyrim but if I were to actually live in Tamriel I might lean toward early fourth era Cyrodil (right after the Oblivion crisis). Place just looks pleasent and comfortable. Of course both provinces have that medieval european flavor fantasy that I love (I seem to be in the minority on here)

Now I will admit I havn't actually played Morrowind (tried it once long ago but couldn't get into it) but from what I have seen of the place through footage I have seen on youtube and through other exposure I have had of the province through the dragonborn dlc and eso that the province itself doesn't appeal to me. Just not a big fan of alien landscapes.

I, on the other hand, prefer either an Imperial or Argonian character, with a Dunmer as a distant third choice. So far, my favorite province has been Morrowind (not Cyrodiil as my Imperial leanings would suggest), but I'd have loved to see Cyrodiil done with the same detail and fully fleshed-out and coherent cultural treatment as Morrowind, rather than the bland and featureless representation we got (there was practically no representation of a functional economy or society, no politics to speak of, few internal rivalries worthy of note, and no struggles for power even in the absence of a king). I'm hoping to see Black Marsh in a future game, even if I don't actually play as an Argonian there.

I'm not really fond of ice and snow, really don't care for Nordic culture in general, and was never able to convince myself to play a Nordic character in any of the previous games. I lost interest and never completed the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind, located on frozen Solstheim. That might be one of several reasons why I never bought or played Skyrim.

1.Imperials since I simply Iike them and the Empire.Dunmer are close second.

2.Morrowind since I like the Dunmer, their culture, etc. and the whole game.

2.Vvardenfell for it's uniqueness and wildlife

Bretons (I love to play sneaky mages.)

Morrowind

Favorite province is difficult, so I have to hedge my bet. Skyrim for the scenery, Morrowind for the culture.

Favorite race. This has changed over time. If you had asked this a few years ago I would have said Breton. That was mainly for gameplay reasons, specifically for the 50% magic resistance (I played mostly warriors back in the day and I thought Bretons made the best warriors). But as I have gotten more involved in roleplaying I find I gravitate more often to Dunmer characters.

Favorite game. Morrowind. In terms of gameplay, Morrowind hits a kind of "sweet spot" for me between the complexity of Daggerfall and the simplicity of Oblivion. In terms of atmosphere it svcks me into its world like no other game in the series. I think its writing is the best in the series so far. The diversity of its culture, the intrigue of its politics, the ambiguity of its main quest, all combine to make Morrowind endlessly fascinating to me.

Favorite province. I mentioned in another thread yesterday that if I had the opportunity to live anywhere in any of the games, it would be in a Yurt in an Ashlander camp in the Grazelands in 3rd-era Vvardenfell. I think I'll stick with that.
