Dialogue not showing up to people testing my mod

Post » Sat Jul 11, 2015 2:29 pm

Hi guys.

So I'm having this problem where I have a complete quest with several dialogue branches. I can see all that perfectly and everything seems to be working correctly. Now, when I give my friend my mod he talks to the npcs of my mod and no dialogue shows up, the only thing he can see is the dialogue options the player can say.

I have done the seq file stuff, so that shouldn't be it.

can you ask your friend to "sqv YourQuestName" in console to check if your quest (the one that holds the dialogue) is running at the time?

might have, like, stopped because you have an npc in an non-optional alias that's dead in his game or something along that lines

He's not available right now. I'll tell him to check that later, tho.

Anyway, the quest should be running because the dialogue menu displays correctly (except the previously mentioned stuff) and the quest stages do change when the conditions required are met. It's just that the npcs seem to have little to nothing to say.

Did you remember to package the SEQ file when you gave it to him?

Aye, I was actually watching him through a stream and he showed me where he had put all the files.

You mean voice in my mod? Well, I recorded from my mic using the built in recording tool but it was just plain silence. But that shouldn't make a difference from actually recording some random sound, right?

I don't think he has that mod installed.
