Will I get banned for using Nexus Mod Manager

Post » Tue Jul 14, 2015 1:21 am

I'm new to all this mod stuff, so this might be a dumb question.

I know that the Skyrim Nexus is one of the most popular place to get skyrim mods for multiple reasons, but I'm anxious to use it as it's a third party source that uses a third party peice of software (NMM), and that if i do use it, I'll get banned from steam.

Can this happen? My copy of the game is 100% legit.

Thanks

Welcome to to the forums! Someone should be here shortly to give you a fish stick. Anyways, you are fine to use any software you want to install mods.

No, you won't get banned. You are perfectly free to install mods from anywhere you like using whatever tools you like.

Heck, Valve helped the team making the script extenders get them to work with games on Steam and that's a third party tool.
