Been browsing the nexus, and recently wanted to get some mods for RPing a Ranger type character.

Any good recommendations? (Even if they are not on the Nexus, but somewhere else, as long as its a safe site)

I'm looking for clothes, armor, followers (have Inigo and Vilja, as well as Koor/Doge so far in my game, but yeah) weapons, cooking, hunting mods, maybe animal mods, not sure. I know of the campfire mod, but any other good ones?

I want to be a beast master sort of ranger, that lives off the land, and goes into town only to buy supplies and sell furs and excess meat. Maybe take a dog with me (Koor, or any other dog. I have the All Dogs into Huskies mod.) and a horse.

I am thinking Wood Elf may be a good race, but not doing any sort of Green Pact. What other race may fit?

Both are good but each has their own limitations and good features. I personally use AGU because it also shows objects on player and NPC's like torches and Coin Purse.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58973/? allows you to change the grip type of any melee weapon. Imagine having 1h sword and deciding you need a little more umph in your swing, with a press of a button you begin using it as a 2h and start dealing extra damage and swinging it faster. Or you have that 2h axe and decide you need to use a healing spell, with a press of a button you now hold it with 1h and have a free hand to heal, yet deal less damage with the axe and swing it slower.
