Placeatme console command not working

Post » Tue Jul 21, 2015 9:58 am

I'm trying to use the placeatme console command to give me some sabre cats to fight. I need to collect pelts for a mod-added quest and I don't know a reliable place to find sabre cats.

But, as I type the console command "placeatme 00023AB5," the console takes the command and doesn't give me an error message, but as I exit out the console, nothing happens.

THis has happened to me before, as I try to spawn wolves, deer, and even bandits.

Nothing I try seems work. Adding a number at the end (e.g. "1") does nothing; adding the word "player" at the beginning does nothing; using the command "Help "Sabre Cat Pelt"" does nothing.

What's going on?

1. help "sabre cat pelt" gives you the Form ID for PELTS not a live sabre cat.

2. Syntax is player.placeatme <#>

3. A query of help "sabre cat" will pull up a bunch of things. What you need is the one that is the live cat. This is usually preceded by NPC_ in the list. Page up and page down helps view the list.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

P.S. I did a quick check and the ID you have is correct for Sabre Cat. I typed the following player.placeatme 23ab5 1 and got a sabre cat scratching my [censored]! :D
