Favorite DLCExpansion

Post » Wed Jul 22, 2015 9:01 am

Thread title says it all, we always talk about our favorite games, but what is your favorite expansion?

For me, I'd have to say its a close call between Oblivion's The shivering Isles and Dragon Age's Awakening.

Shivering isles gets the slight edge however, that was an amazing experience all around.

Bloodmoon is my favorite. I loved Solstheim and spent massive amounts of time there. I started modded games there and even spent entire games up there.

The Hordes of the Underdark expansion for Neverwinter Nights would be my second choice. Dragon Age - Awakening would be my third. Opposing Force and Blue Shift for Half-Life would be my fourth and fifth choices.

I like the Tribunal expansion cause it build upon the main quest very well.

As for DLCs, I would say Minervas Den for Bioshock 2 and the two Daud DLCs for Dishonored.

The fan expansion T2X for Thief 2 is pretty great too.

Dead Money from Fallout New Vegas without a doubt. Other favorites being Artorias of the Abyss from Dark Souls, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx from Borderlands, The Shivering Isles from Oblivion and Lair of the Shadow Broker from Mass Effect 2.

Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim, it's about as close as you're going to get to revisiting Morrowind with Skyrim graphics (without using mods, which I don't use).

Frozen Throne was quite excellent, both campaign and gameplay additions.

Dead Money for Fallout New Vegas definitely. With Shivering Isles as a close second.

Really great posts guys. I had forgotten about Lair of the shadow broker, ME2 had some quality DLCs. Tribunal is also one I forgot. In my opinion, Tribunal and Shivering Isles are tied for best Bethesda expansion.

As for Dead Money, I really have to say I didn't like it much. :/ I find I'm in the minority in that regard. It's funny, because Fallout New Vegas is my favorite game of all time.

I'd like to mention one of my favorites from the small DLC pack category: Halo 3 Mythic map pack. I still remember how excited I was when Bungie offered it for free and Lockout was coming back to Halo 3. Good times.

These.

Also, OWB from FONV. The humor in it all still makes me laugh.

Shivering Isles, from Oblivion
Lair of the Shadow Broker, from Mass Effect 2
Both Dark Souls games have great DLC.
Tiny Tina's adventure, from Borderlands 2.

Technically not DLC, but the Dark Arisen expansion of Dragon's Dogma.
Blood Dragon, from Far Cry 3
