Favourite Shouts?

Post » Thu Jul 23, 2015 5:01 am

What are some of your most favourite shouts? For me it would have to be a tie between Marked For Death, Aura Whisper or Disarm. These three because i usually play an assassin on master difficulty. Marked for death helps me secure kills early game when my current sneak attack bonuses arent enough and helps me weaken those pesky dragons along with taking out two handers as quick as possible. Aura whisper so im not caught off guard by a group of bandits carrying two handed swords and Disarm if i somehow get into a tight situation with a two hander. Basically two handers are my worst nightmare on master difficulty xD

Aura Whisper is one I found myself using more often than I expected. Cyclone is a fun one. I admit, most often I stick to the classic, Unrelenting Force. There's just something satisfying about shouting someone off a cliff.

The only one I used somewhat regularly was fus-ro-dah so that must be it.

Kane.....oh no! I was so curious about you post I read the hidden bit and now I'm spoiled. In future can you write out the content of the spoiler hidden bit so I know if I want to open it ;)

Oh and FWIW Marked for Death. It makes the unkillable, Killable. It's also satisfying in a sick cruel way to watch a bandit dying before you of flesh rot from like 5000 rads Gamma. Hell, they deserve it !

Slow time master race. It slows down enemies a LOT more than it slows the player, acting like an elemental fury on steroids, and works on bows, spells and enchanted weapons. It allows you to outrun everything, you can run up to a deer and fire a bow point blank in its face. Its duration can also be increased with stability, shalidor's insight: alteration, fortify alteration potions and dragon aspect. Over 1 minute slow time? Perfectly possible.

I'm doing my first play through on Legendary. I'm not using any ranged attack and limiting magic to restoration and alteration. I'm really counting on Shouts to event things up otherwise melee is just grim. I've only got Fus so far and that buys you a little break, just enough to get the initiative, but not much more.

What I really want is Slow Time - that's gotta be the ultimate Shout for day-to-day survival.
