Skyrim on Ultrawide (21:9) Monitor Problems

Post » Thu Jul 23, 2015 3:43 pm

==RESOLVED==
I just got an LG 29" Ultrawide (21:9, 2560x1080) monitor and am having trouble getting Skyrim to work without my monitor giving me an error message saying it has the wrong resolution.
I have changed the SkyrimPrefs.ini file to "iSize H=1080 iSize W=2560" , I have installed Flawless Widescreen and think I applied the fix, and I Set Launch Properties with the line "-CustomResolution:enabled -r2560x1080x32" and I am my monitor is still telling me it has the wrong resolution.
Is there something I am doing wrong or missing?
My graphics card is Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, brand new.
Thanks for the help in advance

The one you want is in Documents\My Games\Skyrim\. Don't edit the one in your Steam folder.

This should do the trick, actually...

If that's your monitor, have you installed the appropriate Monitor drivers ???

It should be an .inf file and a color profile. (.iCC)

Changing file in that folder and verifying my drivers did the trick after a restart.

(My monitor is an LG 29UM57-P)
