Writing a book about the Elder Scrolls world

Post » Sat Jul 25, 2015 7:08 am

Hello to all.
First off I don't know if this is the right place to make this kind of post, so sorry if I'm in mistaken area :)
I have to make some question regarding "licensing" from Bethesda and/or Zenimax.
I want to write a book about the Elder Scrolls world and in particular in the "time" of Skyrim (201 4E).
I already read books based on this, for example I read the books written by Greg Keyes (Lord of Souls and Infernal City).
To avoid copyright infringement or something like this, I have to contact Bethesda before writing/publishing the book?
If yes, please can you redirect me to a contact that can help me in this way?

Many thanks.

There's a "Contact Us" in the lower right of each page. However, I'm pretty sure they will not allow you to make money of their stuff. If they want novels about it, they are the ones that will contact a writer. Although nothing stops you from writing something and then just put it online for free like so many other fanfictions.

Thank you very much for the reply. So Greg Keyes was contacted by Bethesda to make the books? I will try to contact them. Trying is "free" :D

Thanks again.
