Language of the Dunmer.

I've been wondering for sometime. What is the language of the Dunmer? Is it Aldmeri? or Is it Daedric? The reason I say Daedric is because a lot of their road signs are written in daedric. Also there are a lot of daedric symbols in Morrowind. If you look at the Morrowind launcher you see daedric symbols on it.

So what is there native tongue?

To my knowledge there are no languages in the Elder Scrolls universe, but rather there is just a common language everyone speaks. If that's true, then Daedric is not a language. What it actually entails is hard to pin down. There are the Daedric princes, all specific entities, and then there are daedra, which are servants of the princes or basically demonic entities that come in several flavors and varities. Aldmeri is I believe solely used to describe the Aldmeri Dominion and I'm not sure if it is a permutation of Altmer (the High Elves) or if it actually has a specific meaning.

Someone tell me if that sounds right lol.

There is no single daedric language. There is the common daedric script seen in Morrowind but that is mostly just a cipher for the Latin alphabet. The actual Dunmer language seems to be a close dialect of aldmeri and they use the daedric script for writing.
