House Dres and Daedra worship

Post » Mon Jul 27, 2015 2:39 am

Hello, fellow TES-addicts! I'm making a mod and I need some info:

For some reason I have always thought that House Dres never stopped actively worshiping the Good Daedra and that it was among the first who ditched the Tribunal and accepted the Reclamations. But now I 'm trying to actually look into this and I can't find anything which supports (or disproves) my belief. So is this just my headcanon?

Also is there smth in the lore about the religious and cultural traditions of House Dres? Well, besides that they are anti-Imperial slavers...

I can't remember but I remember reading, hearing or dreaming somewhere that the Dres high council is made up of vampires.

Edit: Okay according to the UESP Wiki, House Dres are firm supporters of the Temple. They also follow the pre-Tribunal ways according to Vivec.

Thanks for this Vivec's quote, Talyn82! Now I know why I thought Dres to be Daedra worshipers!

I hope it's not a mistake to assume that even with Dres being firm Temple-supporters, the worship of the Good Daedra is more prevalent in their lands than in other Houses' regions. Especially considering that in Vvardenfell the Good Daedra worship was unpopular among the dunmers of other Houses.

No problem. As to the Good Daedra being unpopular. They were still sorta revered in a way through the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:The_Anticipations

So in a way they were still relevant just not like in the 4th era or pre-Tribunal days.
