I decided to try DSR because I liked the idea of having a staff on my back, but when I got in game and noticed it also makes all weapons go on my back I decided I didn't want it (or maybe I was too lazy to try and find out how to set it so only staves go on my back). In any case, I tried to remove it by following the instructions on the mod's nexus page but when I got in game my weapons still went on my back. This was after deactivating it from the mod manager, deleting .esp file, the SkyProc patcher files it added, etc. I also tried removing a skeleton replacer mod I installed that was required or recommended but that didn't help either.

It was kind of driving me crazy because I even ended up deleting the meshes and scripts that it added but my weapons still go on my back when I'm in game. It isn't tied to just save files either, I started a new game but had the same issue on my new character. Can someone please help me figure out why I can't get rid of this mod? I deleted every file and folder related to it and followed the mod's uninstallation instructions multiple times but it won't go away.

Ive been usong DSR amd im almost sure theres an option for staves in the mcm....,i also use immersive animations that give you a little more customization.

Yes there were options to check or uncheck shields and staves on back but not regular weapons. All weapons went on my back when I had staves checked. I wouldn't mind having the mod if it just let me have staves on my back but a one handed axe looks weird.

I might check out immersive animations one day but right now I'm only focused on trying to remove this mod. I have no idea why it won't go away after following instructions, deleting every file related to it, and even reinstalling my game.

I quess if it came right down to it you could totally uninstall the game and re install...that should do the trick.

I already mentioned that I did reinstall and even started a new character but no difference.

If you use Groovtama's XP32 extended skeleton and the latest Racemenu by Expired, you can go into racemenu and adjust any of your weapons and shield to several different postions. Essentially you can move your sword to your side, back, two on one side etc.. so you can have it set to have only the staves on your back and all other weapons can be set to vanilla postions or however you like them. I don't use ECE so I don't know how well it plays with DSR but the above mentioned work really well for me.

Sorry it doesn't help the uninstalling issue but with the proper mods installed, DSR is quite useful and throw in HDT Equipment and you have a few of my must have mods for playing.
