XBox Variataions? and games for 9yo?

Post » Fri Aug 07, 2015 2:47 pm

As usual, our household run about one generation behind on electronics; we're frugal ;)

Little Dude scraqed together enough money that he's approaching enough to by on old Xbox from Gamestop. It looks like there's a big variation in disk storage. So how much storage is a good amount for someone who will probably be buying hard-copy games?

Also, what are some game suggestions for a 9 year old boy? Hi likes Forza (sp?) Racing, Madden, FIFA, Force Unleahed II. Not looking for COD type shoot-em-ups.

What are some fun family games?

Thanks,

Rumbly

I'll assume you're referring to the Xbox 360.

Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater, and Minecraft seem like some pretty good ones. Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater are by the same developer and are good fun when playing cooperatively. Maybe Trials Fusion is another good one, although it can get fairly difficult.

120GB is OK, but 250GB would be better, if you wanna install all games to the HDD.

Rayman (Origins - Legends) would be a perfect game. Its simple (control wise) but provides a challenge.

Also i would suggest all LEGO games. lol (For example LEGO batman, LEGO Lord of the Rings, LEGO Indiana Jones etc. etc...)

and FORZA for sure...!!!

Hmm can't seem to get the multi-reply to work. Nor the regular reply/quote. It just kicks me to a standard post without a quoted post embedded

On to the next post...

Legion: Aye, Xbox 360. But we aren't going to let him game across netwroks/coop yet. He doesn't yet have the motivation to pay for a service. I'll look into the suggestions.

Mark, thanks for drive info and game suggestions. We already have fun killing Lego storm troopers :gun:
