Vingalmo and Orthjolf

I seriously think that these two aren't even the least interested in the throne what so ever. Lets forget for a minute that they actually want the throne despite what the Dawnguard questline on the vampire side says.

In fact, they don't need the throne. They pretty much run things around the place while Lord Harkon plays Victor from Underworld. Doing what he pleases. Vingalmo and Orthjolf play as his right and left hands. Apparenlty, all they do is give orders and make petty schemes.

The reason why I think this is because Gara Merethi stated that after you killed the last 2 vampires to fill the blood chalice is that is how politics in the court work. Obviously. Its the higher up vampires manipulating the gullible and the ambitious.

These two obviously have a weird friendship that many vampire's misinterpret and are working together it seems. So they make it out like they don't get along to an outsider's view. It makes for great sense if you're wanting to manipulate people .

Either way. If you agree with Vingalmo or Orthjolf. They both get to screw you either way. You're just giving them permission. Say one vampire sides with Vingalmo or Orthjolf. Than another vampire does the same. Those two vampires kill one another believing they get some sort of reward and the cycle continues. The reward is getting shafted. They obviously don't get that once you've been made a pure blood. Thats as far as you go. There is no more advancement. You joined a family where the relatives manipulate you into do some good and bad things!

They apparently just screw around with other vampires pitting them against each other and getting them killed. That's all the vampires in Dawnguard do is debate...."Well...Vingalmo says he'll pave the way for me if I do this." or "Orthjolf promised me advancement if I do that." right before you kill them.

Reason why I think so. I don't think Lord Harkon would have no problem with them killing one another. It'd also be a relief to the coven if either one was picked off.

Sure. If they wanted the throne. Than why not double team Harkon? They could both take him no problem. Than kill each other over the throne. If they're so serious. Than why not take a more direct action? They obviously have to know that the only way to a throne is through Harkon.

Anyone see where I'm coming from?

You're not made a pure blood, you're a half breed. To be a pure blood you have to undergo a ritual like being [censored] or sacrificing innocents.
