Double Install--and Steam doesn't recognize my mods

A little while ago, a nine year old game I once played on PS3 became the first game I played on PC. I wanted a direct comparison with something I played on a game console.

I had gotten the Elder Scrolls Anthology at a local store and installed Oblivion from the included discs. I started playing and added some armor mods. It was fun. Then I saw there were several DLCs I was entitled to if I would just enter the Steam code and download the game from my Steam account. I did so, and on opening the game was greeted with all those associated quests. And I still had my stats, loot and gold. Happy.

But the snappy looking armor I brought in through Nexus Mod Manager was no longer there. And it appears as though NMM still points to my original installation. Can this be fixed? And if so, how?

Thank you.

The Oblivion.exe is found in a different location.

\Steam\SteamApps\common\Oblivion

So you would have to configure NMM for that executable, and not the disc version install path (\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion) [or similar]. The Saves directory remains the same for both versions.

Thanks. I was able to locate the path, and, checking NMM>settings>oblivion was able to determine NMM is already configured to the path you display. Still, no mods. I'm puzzled. Steam does coexist with NMM, does it not?
