I'd say yes, if they are very distracted by other stuff at the time. Is it just the one occasion?
I've made much bigger clangers than those when seriously distracted.
Cough drops may or may not have Vitamin C, so YES that can happen to someone. (especially if you don't ask the salesman)
As for the cheese, can happen too, but you can take it back, i guess...
So, at the end not a big deal. lol
Yeah, these kind of things can happen. I've oftentimes picked up the wrong item myself, oftentimes because it's on the same shelf as what I typically get, has similar packaging, and so on. Being stressed, tired, or in a hurry can also do wonders to your observational skills.
The vitamins are admittedly a little weird though. Mostly because in my experience, cough drops and vitamins are seldom in the same area of the store and in different kinds of packs. Though it helps that http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41fn22tZYGL.jpg are my cough drops of choice.
If you have important things in mind, or you're worried about something, yeah, it is quite common.
Never go grocery shopping when you are hungry, or, in a hurry, or, distracted by something else. Just a bad idea.
Hall's Vitamin C Drops have similar packaging to Hall's Cough Drops.
Question is is this an isolated event, or just a very rare event, if its something thats becoming common then its worth looking at if, its uncommon and just a rare occurrence, then its pretty normal to make mistakes that you wouldnt think you'd normally make, we arent perfect its amazing how many simple mistakes we make, we sort of have the expectation that because we do it so often we start not paying attention, plus as other have already pointed out other factors can effect your attention, but if it becomes something that happens to often and youre noticing it then speak to a doctor.
If this is like the fourth time or something, dementia.
No it's not normal, you should probalby check in at the looney bin.
Hmmm...the OP appears to have forgotten all about this thread. Not a good sign.
