Does anyone know how I'd go about putting a specific NPC's head on a spike?

I know there are heads on spikes and dismembered heads - there must be some way to combine the two...

Do you already have the head? If its a placeable item I think you just disable havok and stick it on in the CK like meat on a spit or the hanging fish.

The severed heads are still part of the NPC, as you can search the head for loot, just like the weapon they dropped. So a process of placing a head onto a spike may be impossible. However, if you're just wanting a head to appear on a spike some time after the NPC is killed, you might be able to use the NPC's face texture on a spiked head. That might mean re-mapping the UV's of the spiked head, but I'd expect the developers to have taken the easy path and used a normal head to make the static.
