Strange Crash Issue

So I've recently started a new playthrough, using Project Nevada, WMX, EVE, and among other things, Cirosian's Classic Overhaul. Everything was working fine for the past few days, except that I noticed that food was still giving me health, and Med-X wasn't allowing me to ignore crippled limbs like it's supposed to. Figuring that it was a conflict between CCO and PN, I altered the load-order to have CCO .ESMs to load first. Sure enough, that seemed to fix the issue with the food and chems, but then strange things started happening. From then on, sometimes the game would CTD when I tried to load a save, other times I'd be able to play for thirty seconds to a minute before crashing. Sometimes, things like changing cells or even changing the currently tracked quest would set it off. I tried restoring the original load-order, but that did not fix the problem. I then tried sorting with LOOT and creating a merged patch, something I had forgotten to do before, no effect.

I am now wondering if it's a save-corruption issue, but why would that happen now? I've also tried reloading progressively earlier and earlier saves, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've never experienced anything like this before, so I'm hoping someone much more mod-savvy than myself will be able to point me in the right direction.
