title says it all really, i havent kept up with either of these platforms so i just want to here some feedback from you guys as to which one might be better to buy.

PS Vita is great and all, but 3DS has Pokemon.

Heh. As I see it, 3DS has more interesting exclusives. Vita has better hardware and is a better multimedia device, but at the end of the day a gaming device lives and dies by its game library. A lot of Vita's best titles are available on another platform or are mobile installments of franchises I'd rather be playing on a home console. That said, I never owned a Vita, so I could me missing something. For what it's worth, I think Vita isn't region-locked.
