Morrowind available for sale on GOG

Post » Thu Aug 27, 2015 7:04 pm

http://www.gog.com/game/the_elder_scrolls_iii_morrowind_goty_edition. It also includes the Construction Set, yay

http://www.gog.com/promo/bethesda_launch_the_elder_scrolls_bundle_260815 (includes Battlespire and Redguard too).

Buy any TES game on GOG, and you will have Arena and Daggerfall on GOG too

Someone will have to check if the CS actually works, because the Steam CS requires a http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42196/? to function.

Wait a minute... have Battlespire and Redguard always been available on GOG? I don't remember ever seeing them available as downloads, legally. This seems pretty momentous, or did I miss something. I have to get them. Now.

edit: looking at them, it seems that the reviews are all from today... were these really just added? This is exciting. I've been wanting to try those games out for a while!

Great news. For $13.39 I'm tempted to buy one more copy.

The CS should work if it's the normal GOTY. The Steam version pointedly omitted it.

Yes, they were added just today. Old Fallout games, which were pulled down from GOG after Bethesda got the rights for them, were re-released again, too.

Redguard and Battlespire? I was beginning to think I would never have the chance to play these games. And for only $3.99 USD each. Well, I know what I'm going to be doing as soon as I finish typing up this post!

I'm kind of sorry now that I bought Morrowind on Steam when it went on sale last summer. I haven't even installed the Steam version yet. I see now I should have waited.

Oh my god this is sooo amazing! I always hoped for this to happen one day, but I'd never dreamt it would be so soon. I was literally screaming when I saw this just a few minutes ago! And Battlespire+Redguard too! The return of the classic Fallouts and the addition of Doom and Quake is also great news. I will definitely buy these (except the Fallouts, I already got them when they were free just before they were pulled from gog), although I already own three versions of Morrowind (German and English Retail GotY, Steam GotY - the last two are from the Anthology), so that I can shelve my Disks forever. Not today and not tomorrow, but I certainly will.

Downloading them all now!

I'm pretty happy to have a digital copy of Morrowind Prophecies now! But I am disappointed that Redguard didn't come with the comic. :( But I've got the Daggerfall Chronicles now! And the Battlespire manual has some pretty cool art, too.

edit: that's interesting. Morrowind for GOG comes with the official plugins. I wonder if they're cleaned...
