First bug:

I speak to Parthurnaax while having the Elder Scroll in inventory, I choose the "I have the Elder scroll"

I get two sounds -like the game makes when a new quest is started or one is finished..

I notice that the quest "Locate an elder scroll" is down below and completed and permanently marked "On" and I can not remove the checkbox,

since it is completed..

sigh

Second bug

I join the mages college and then when in hall of countenance, I am getting "you cannot wait/rest while being asked to leave."

No one is asking me to leave though.

Any help?

First bug. Sorry, can't help.

Second bug. I experienced this same thing on my last playthrough. I was never able to confirm, but I suspected that it may have been caused by telling a follower (who was not part of the College) to wait once in the College. Did you do something similar with a follower perhaps? Again, I'm not sure that was the cause - only guessing.

I have never had a follower with me when I went there. Marcurio tends to hit people with his spell so . No...

I'm sorry I was of no help to you, but I thank you for pretty much letting me rule out my follower theory for what caused that bug in my last playthrough. I will say of the many nights over many playthroughs I've spent at the College, it was only into that one playthrough that it was a problem. And once it started, it did not go away until I started a new game.
