I know that canonically 'The Vault Dweller' PC of Fallout 1 was male, as Fallout 2 referred to him as male when talking about how he went north and founded Arroyo, but has there ever been an officially canon piece of lore that specifically states what gender 'The Chosen One' PC of Fallout 2 was? I don't remember anything and since Fallout "3" is not a direct sequel there wasn't any mention of either previous PC, at least not that I can recall.
