Complete newbie...

Well, hi, I'm Batman0, I'm 15 and want to start the elder scrolls. I've never played any game like this before so I'd like some advice on where to start and similar. I play on console, (360 and One), so I can't mod the game, and need some help. Anyway, considering I'm new, yeah, need some help.

Welcome to the boards! (And TES...) Here is a http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg to get you in the mood :) (It's a TES joke :) )

Which games do you have? Or are you looking for which ones to get?

Skyrim is probably the easiest to start out with. There are no classes or Attributes you would need to worry about, the gameplay is generally pretty accessible, and most of what it does is pretty straight forward in what it does.

From there, Morrowind and Oblivion are solid choices. Rather partial to Morrowind myself, but Oblivion would probably be easier to get into after playing Skyrim.

Particularly for modern gamers, Skyrim is by far the most accessible, followed by Oblivion. The gameplay styles are just more modern, and easier to pick up if you've only been exposed to games from the last decade or so.

Morrowind is a major shift in gameplay, and can be very jarring for people who have only played the latest ones. As much as I love it, and Daggerfall, going back to these games can be extremely difficult, and I only recommend it to people who have already become hooked on the series.

Two of the more Action-Adventure oriejded side games, Battlespire and Redguard, are now available for digital download though, so they are now easy to obtain options as well. I for one absolutely loved Redguard.

And this is a wonderful development. :) I'm presently playing Battlespire, a game that I missed back when it was still being sold.

Players should be warned that Redguard doesn't support the use of a mouse, if that is important.

If they are still selling the "Legendary Edition", I think it comes with all the games from Arena (the first TES game) to Skyrim with DLCs included.

that wasn't the Legendary Edition, Legendary Edition was just Skyrim+DLCs

I think your thinking of the "Anthology" Edition

Thanks everyone. Can't pick up the Anthology edition as I'm a console gamer, and my 360 has a 4GB memory unit, not a hard drive. Hopefully if Skyrim and it's DLC gets backwards compatibility I can install the DLC on my Xbox One. Thanks.
