In the beginning of the game in Wellsprings you have to chooce 1 character,does that have a big impact on stuff in the later of the game?

i understand that with nr1 you get stuff cheaper/more money for stuff,and with nr2.your armor is better.and those diddent mean much to me,so i deceided to chooce nr.3 something about inventing stuff,so probably more easy to make stuff from you gathered items i guess,BUTD is that all ore is has it more invluence in the game later on?
