GNR Radio, garbled clue.

Post » Sun Sep 06, 2015 8:56 am

I have been playing Fallout 3 for many years. I have just started playing the game again. After completing "Escape!", and after being told the GNR signal

was in range, I tuned in. Though the message was garbled through interference, I could distinctly hear Three Dog saying that, he had just had James

from Vault 101 in the studio. So even before visiting Springvale and Megaton I know where James is.

I can find no reference to this occurence in any guide or walkthrough that I can find.

Has anyone else noticed this.

I am playing the original game, slowly.

If you mean "Is this supposed to be a hint?" I suppose it is.

The problem of course though, is that if you're a new player who hasn't a clue about the storyline or gameworld, you aren't going to know where Three Dog's studio is (assuming you're not cheating).

Even if you figure out its in Downtown D.C. from the broadcasts, there's no marker for the GNR station building unless you *actually* find out its location via the quest. So if you just blindly go to D.C., it'll take awhile to find the station probably unless you get lucky.
