Um. I've been trying to figured this little thing out for awhile now and can't seem to find it... Is there a setting/way of turning ash/goo pile death on/off for NPCs?

The ash/goo pile is an effect in a weapon enchantment, spell, or script.
It is not part of the NPC at all.
