A ponderance on Dragonborn anatomy

Dragon Blood. Both the Blades and the 'Beards go on and on about it. The akaviri blood seal at Sky Haven Temple needs a Dragonborn's blood to be broken. Paarthurnax says "Sossedov lost mul" when you take part in the traditional greeting of two of the Dov.

Now... Bone marrow generates blood, yes? So this blood coursing through your Skyrim PlayerChar's veins comes from their marrow.

...Do Dragonborn have dragon bones? Not shapes, obviously, but tissue.

Well, Mankar preforming a bone marrow transplant with Uriel was not exactly a idea I had before.

Given how supernaturally sturdy actual dragons bones are, and that my character can still shatter their legs after falling from a certain height...probably not? Granted, the Heart in TES tends to have a greater metaphysical purpose then bones do, so who knows. Unless its Shor's Bones.

using real world medical logic in a fantasy game?

I always took it as (especially after Oblivion), that in the world of TES ones blood is some how attached to or strongly related ones soul..

I mean, a scrapping of Tiber Septims blood was able to be used to open a portal to Mankars Paradise, serving as the Polar opposite to "Blood of a Daedra", and the Daedric Artifacts are supposed to be part of them right?

likewise what Martin said in Oblivion ending Cinematic, "with the Dragons Blood and Amulet of Kings, the gates of Oblivion have been sealed". but he didn't actually cut himself or anything, it just appeared when he summoned/became the Avatar of Akatosh that it was a release of power coming from both him and the amulet..

so, while in the real world Blood is generated by our bone-marrow, I believe it TES it may be more of a byproduct of ones soul, and containing the energy from it..

Hard tissue bones aren't the only thing that take damage from a fall. The shock of a sudden stop does quite a bit of damage too.

Also... "Bones of The Earth". So much so that "Qethsegol" (that phrase in draconic) means "stone" in the uncountable sense.

Also, there's a problem: marrow exists. Namira's minions in Skyrim think it's a tasty snack.

Well, that's a pretty obvious reference to the Earth Bones, which I don't think is quite applicable for our character here, since he's not referring to us in that instance.

Ebony (Gods-Blood) has the power to contain quasi-divine entities like Daedra, so going off of what bunny said, it more being a product or a material reflection of ones soul is a plausible explanation. Or the Akaviri used it as a way of gauging a persons soul. The two probably aren't mutually exclusive.
