Item Additions for Leveled Lists

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 2:26 pm

I am looking for mods that will increase the variety in leveled lists for items, mainly weapons and armor. Right now I've got Armamentarium and Artifacts but both are little too recolorish for me. Are there any other mods that fit this task? Also I am running OOO+MOO so I'd like overhauls excluded since I don't want to bog my game down too much.

You might take a look at http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/43879/? by Ironman5000. I'm not sure if it would fit your definition of "recolorish," though. But it's worth a look.

One mod that is definitely not "recolorish" is http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1318-wac-waalx-animals-creatures/ It adds a boatload of custom-made weapons, armors, clothes and accessories to the game. If you're familiar with Waalx's Real Swords mod you'll have an idea of the quality of the items in WAC (Real Swords is included, and updated, in WAC). The downside is that you may not be interested in WAC's creatures. But, again, take a look.

While WAC is good on content, I don't feel it's not doing enough for the gameplay so I end up installing OOO on top of that and while there are patches to get it to be "compatible" it strains my computer too much especially once I start adding Better Cities and UL.

I will definitely take a look at Immersive Weapons especially since it claims to have RealSwords integrated.

If you do decide to use Immersive Weapons and are using a Bashed Patch be sure to download Slangens' patch to force the mod work correctly with Bash: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45331/?

Hey guys, is there a mod that removes level lists? I mean in regards to having the game level up with you... I find it appalling that common bandits are carrying Glass and Daedric equipment... The whole immersion of the game is pretty much broken...

http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1318-wac-waalx-animals-creatures/ has no leveling. Note that if you do use it you might want this patch for it http://up.mnty.net/img/up004406.7z . With WAC what you see at level 1 is the same as what you see at 40. None of its creatures, clothing, weapons, or armor is leveled.

Just so I understand correctly, I can walk into an armorer at lvl1 and find more than just fur and iron?

While in contrast bandits wear common armor while glass and daedric are rare but exist?

If so thats great, if not, im trying to find something that makes the game world more down to earth.

There is scaling in WAC. But it is not nearly as pronounced as in the vanilla game.

Some WAC creatures are scaled and some are not. For instance, Fear (5), Crocodile (4), Gorilla (6), White Mantis (5) are unscaled. They remain at those levels during the entire game and we can meet them at level one. Other creatures such as Gnolls (+1), Brobdingnagian Giant (+4), Gargoyls (+2), Pixies (-1) are scaled. They stay slightly above or below the level of our character as we level up.

WAC does feel unscaled. I continually get my butt handed to me by higher level enemies. Some of that is because some enemies really are unscaled, and some of that is because Waalx uses scaling to keep those enemies at a higher level.

I'd say WAC is a lot like Oscuro's mod, in this regard. Both WAC and OOO use scaling. But they use it in a more controlled fashion than the vanilla game. And both throw in some hand-placed, unscaled enemies here and there to keep us on our toes.

Looks a little too heavy for me, I'm trying to reduce gameplay changes since I'm already running 2 overhauls.

So the addition of Immersive weapons has helped out greatly on the weapons front, but what about armor? As of now there is no Immersive Armors mod in Oblivion, is there another good Armor compilation for Leveled lists? I want to be able to find those armors on people I fight not in some chest or some store.
