Use console to recover Eugene

Post » Sat May 22, 2010 6:55 am

So, I gave Eugene to Charon, whom I have following me mostly so that he can hold things, but also for the occasional fight. One day I'm going along and kind of wondering, why isn't he using it any more? And sure enough I find out that I have no idea where the gun went. With missing people I know how to use the console to move to that NPC, but I'm not sure how to find my gun. It isn't in any of the places I usually stash weapons, nor at my vendors I use frequently. Unfortunately its been missing for quite some time because I cant find it in any recent game saves either. I tried using the console to put it into my inventory and that didn't work.

Any one know how to use the console to get it back?

Also, I've noticed that my favorite .44 magnum got lost too. It seems weird things have been happening to my inventory. Are there certain things to avoid? Thanks.

Eugene: player.additem 0006B538 1

Someone probably shot it and broke it during a fight so he dropped it.

Ad damn! This is bad news. I didn't know NPC allys would just drop your crap like that. I guess it makes sense that they would drop items of their arms got crippled etc. but you'd think they would take the time to pick them up, even if they're broke... Does any one have any information on how to locate it or move it using the console. I think the reason I wasn't able to just drop it into my inventory is because it is a unique item, so I think I need to move it from wherever it is into my inventory.

You can't locate it where it is through the console but you can give yourself a new one by using the code I gave above. If you're ever back in the location where he dropped it, you should see your broken Eugene lying on the ground.

Oops, I saw the console command in italics and kind of disregarded it along with the time stamp on the message. Thanks for the help!
