Plain or Legendary?

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 6:59 am

I'm thinking of buying skyrim for my PC after years of playing it on my xbox, but I'm stuck to get either plain skyrim or, skyrim legendary. Skyrim legendary is the one with dawnguard, dragonborn and hearthfire. It's actually got a very good price tag and is really worth it in my opinion but I'm slightly worried in case my pc can't handle it. I run a 64 bit PC with windows 10 and intel core i3, [I hope that's the only information I need o.e]. Anyway, please tell me your thoughts on what I should buy.

Welcome to the forums!

I'd say get the Legendary Edition. A lot of mods will require some or all of the DLC and it'll save you money in the long haul.

The Legendary Edition shouldn't really require higher specs than the standard version anyway.

Thanks :)
I was thinking of buying it since if I bought all packs, including the main game separately, it cost round about the £50 mark o.e
I'd rather buy it for a good old £20 xD

If your systems meats the specs for Skyrim then it should be able to run Legendary.

The unofficial patches will shortly require the legendary version.

Maybe keep an eye out for the TES anthology if you do not have the other games in the series.

I run Skyrim on a computer I built back in 2007 and it runs just fine. I usually use about 50 mods. You should have no problem running Skyrim, I would think.

Welcome to the forums... here's your http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:Fishystick.jpg

I would get the Legendary version, as others have said it takes no more than the base game to run. If you want to know if your pc will run skyrim and get an idea of how well try this thread http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1507076-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-skyrim-thread-64/page-2. They will want the basic info on your pc spec's... copy paste in a spoiler is the best way to do it. Their is a list of graphic's...well dang... just read the thread...lol

I hope that's the only information I need

-----------

Unfortunately, that's not very helpful.

Has your PC an dedicated Graphics card, or are you using the integraded HD Graphics. (that comes within your i3 processor)

It makes a huge difference, in a matter - how well will Skyrim run on your PC, and if you will enjoy it after all.

or at least run this: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

I managed to snag that for 20 bucks on Black Friday. Turns out working for Walmart has at least one advantage.

Get the legendary edition, 100%. I was going to say that your first playthrough shoud be without mods too but if you've been playing for years on xbox that's probably pointless :P

Not really, the official and unofficial patches would be a good start, maybe do a short play through. While looking to see what kind of mod's he might like, then add them in before the next character....slowly.

Which I can't say much about, I had a list of about 15 or 20 mod's that I added almost as soon as I got the game downloaded, but in an order that made sense and with care, after researching them. I had been looking at the mods for awhile.
