Desktop Cursor, carrying over to game

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 3:12 pm

I am having this real weird issue, where my desk top mouse cursor will randomly load up with the game.

This used to only happen, had I alt+tabbed.

Now it is a 50/50 chance that when I load, it will show up when I move mouse towards upper part of screen, or left part of the screen.

If it doesnt show up with the 50/50 shot. My game will randomly minimize, some time mid play, bringing the cursor back to the screen.

Do you have the sidebar loaded with any gadgets for your desktop ?? -- It tends to steal focus from games causing them to randomly minimize or have the mouse pointer show up like you mention each time it updates the sidebar in the background -- So best to disable the sidebar before gaming !

I have the regular task bar, that I ever had during game play. The cursor would only have shown up if I had alt+tabbed. Now it happens at random, on load.

Had the same issue, this mod fixed it for me: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23664/? (even though I don't play in windowed mode)

You can try this too:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21277/?

or

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36125/?

----------

Do you have any program running like: Ratpr, Display utilities like Display Fusion or something ???

You could even try this: Go to Control Panel then go to Mouse Properties under Hardware, then on Mouse go to "Pointers" and remove the checkbox from "Allow Themes to Change Mouse Pointers" and apply.
