Skyrim highly unstable

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 7:24 pm

I upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago. When I plug in my HDMI cable to play skyrim on my tv the sound dissapears and I need to download directX 10 again to get my sound working back. Does anyone else have problems like this with windows 10?

and oh I wish this was my only problem.

You see , often when I open my map or walk into a city the game freezes. However , the music still goes on. I can't walk or anything but the music goes on in the background , this happens every 5-10 minutes or so. Could be a mod or my pc.

PC info:

8 GB ram

64 bits

Intel core I7-4710HQ

2.5 GHz

Nvidia geforce 845m

(I play Skyrim on low graphics even though it advices me to put the game on high)

I thought my laptop should handle Skyrim just fine..

Mods (In load order):

heartfire

dragonborn

dawngaurd

apachihairfemales

apachihair

falskaar

inn girls resources

chesko_frostfall

alternate start

SCO spring edition

skyUI

all 3 the sounds of skyrims

sofia follower

immersive weapons

SBF all in one

skooming skyrim

one handed master spells

skydreammaidens

northern cardinal

character creation overhaul

jobs of skyrim

order my items

Ineed

immersive whenches

some quests mods (cant imagine it makes my game crash)

Ordinator perks of skyrim

and some mods who arent in the load order:

Skyrim enhanced camera

archery gameplay overhaul

amidian book of silence - all the things (armours etc)

CBBE

I myself didn't find any conflicting mods and I don't think these mods made my game unstable but I don't know. Thats why I am asking you guys , I know it's alot of reading and a lot of stuff but I didn't find anything that made my game so unstable and it made my game almost unplayable. If someone could find something wrong and tell me I'd be really grateful

many thanks in advance

-Tom

I see you have fixed your audio problem. Also to look at this site: http://digitalpbk.com/hdmi/hdmi-laptop-tv-connection-fix-no-audio

I don't know if you have any demanding mods, but if you play at 1366x768 you can try to play at high, This GPU can handle Skyrim at high on that resolution easily.

DId this just start happening all of a sudden? If so, try an earlier save.

It could very well be a mod. If it happens on earlier saves, try disabling all your mods and see what happens.

Don't make any saves while doing this and don't load autosaves.

If the crashes go away it is a mod.

DId you try the game first before adding mods? Best thing to do. GOtta make sure the base game works.

Are you monitoring frame rates and temperatures on your system? You can use FRAPS for framerates.

I use SPeedfan for temps. You can try HWMonitor as well. THere are others Im sure. I have an AMD CPU.

It is important to see if your notebook is overheating. It may not be, but it's still good to know.

Also are you using higher res texture mods or ENB series?
