Object Selection Count

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 4:33 pm

So lets say you have a few dozen things selected in the render window. You know it's lots, and don't want to count how many exactly by hand.

Bottom left of the CK, there is a small bar that says something like "ShackWall01 + 2 more" So we know we have three objects selected.

Problem is, the bar is very small. Any longer names and you can't read the + 3 more. Something like AbandonedShackInteriorDo-

Is there a way to enlarge this bar? I tried "Object Selection" within the SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini, but it appears to do nothing. It was Object Selection=103 at first. Even changing it to Object Selection=250 shows no change.

Nope. I forget which, but the one it actually calls out by name is either the first or last. Find out which, then you can cheat the system by placing an Xmarker and selecting it first/last along with all your other objects. Then it should say "XMarker + Y more", subtract 1 from Y and there you go. :)

It calls out the last one, still a pain to have to place an xMarker just to see a damn number count. I'm gonna keep testing some stuff. If I figure something out I'll post it.

EDIT: Ok, it's not a "pain". But it's something I'd rather skip having to do because I'm lazy. :P
