Urgent, Missing ESP File, Help

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 1:13 pm

Hello people,

So I logged onto Creation Kit today and yesterday everything was fine, I was adjusting dialogue and everything was fine.

Today I log on and when I try to load up my data/plugins in Skyrim, my .esp for the current project was not there. An investigation revealed that my .esp for my project was completely gone. I do have this weird .TES file which is up to data, but the ESP is gone meaning I don't know how to access the plugin so I can continue to work on my project and not fail my class assignment, which of course is due tomorrow.

2 questions

1) is there a way to recover the most recent .esp outside of looking at the backups, I've already tried that method and unfortunately the backups are for some reason of someone else's level I was testing

2) if I were to plug in an old version of my ESP and my scripts were still of the most recent esp, is there any chance the data will reconcile itself positively, leaving me with less work to do?

Please hurry, the assignment is due tomorrow.

Well, maybe you've acidentally deleted (or moved?) the ESP. Try to find your esp in your computer or use a "undelete" tool (which is useless if you have SSD hard disk with Trim option enabled).
