Any Houses of Dibella in Daggerfall (kingdom)?

Post » Fri Sep 25, 2015 6:43 am

As the title says. I started the game in Daggerfall:Chesterwark, played for a while before moving out to Menevia to find a temple (I'm in Mevevia:Baelbrone now).

I miss the knightly quests though, and being able to hop into any tavern for free was convenient. On the plus side, here in Menevia nothing is more than a two day trek which makes getting quests done easy, so if there's another small country with a knightly order and house of Dibella, that could work too. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to just keep playing and having fun :)

[Yes, I did fast travel around to a bunch of places looking before I got tired of it and just switched kingdoms...]

To find a temple or guild in a certain kingdom, speak to an NPC and select the "regional" category, then choose the temple or guild you wish to find. The NPC will direct you to a random town, within the kingdom you are currently in, that contains that temple or guild. If a temple or guild is not listed, that means that it does not exist anywhere within that kingdom.

Ah. Thank you

So much to this game to learn. Coming from Morrownd I finally figured out you don't need to buy spells first to use them in the spell maker.

I was having me a party at the mages guild then

Edit: Yep, found a few of them. One in a tiny town with a rusty general store about a day away from two walled cities. Also found a few in Wayrest, which has a knights order of its own.

I'm only a little in, so I'm going to reroll now that I know what I'm doing. I had patterned my character after what I play in Morrowind, basically my idea of Catwoman (but not a Khajit). But it's so easy to be honest in Daggerfall; I just don't feel the need to thieve like I do in the later games. Skills can be better set methinks. I know they've got the dark undercurrent with the thieves guild and dark brotherhood, but this may be the first cRPG in a long time I don't feel urge to go all dark side in. Go figure.

Edit 2: Are stats supposed to be capped at 100? (I'm playing the DosBox version downloaded from Bethesda. I raised my strength over 100, then found I could raise it even higher on later levels (had better places for the skill points, but thought 100 was the cap). Are they all uncapped or is strength special?
