Death is treated trivially because it is serious, six is treated seriously because it is trivial.

It's a shame humans have ended up more like the chimpanzee than bonobo. Imagine what games would have been like if we'd been more like the bonobo. Hardly any violence and just imagine the choices available in dialogue with an npc:
You enter a village and talk to a randon npc who says "Hello, stranger and welcome to our village. We're so glad to see you!"
Choose:
1. Engage in oral six.
2. Engage in mutual mastvrbation.
3. Engage in frottage.
4. Engage in penetrative six.
5. Call other npc's over and engage in mass orgy.
Tell that to militant Swedish feminists who hate human sixuality as much as Westboro church.
Not just us Mericans to blame these days.
This I can understand. It does help with roleplaying.
Too many players, though, just wanna see boobies!
For many players, six has nothing to do with love, but rather lust. Lust =|= Love
Can a hug be love? Holding hands? A kiss? Why must intercourse be the deciding factor?
For me, my characters can love without six. Love manifests itself in so many varied ways. Yes, six is one of them, but not the only one.
Also, how many video games deal with the "consequences" of six, if they include it? Pregnancy? Diseases?
For me, my beliefs have been under attack for about 50 years. six used to be enjoyed between people as an expression of their love, usually. Now, it is just us acting like animals, ruled by our genitals. And praised for it, or blasted for thinking differently.
Hey Sam, you mentioned bestiality twice.. not to go all Freudian on you.. but you mentioned it twice.
lol okay, why don't why just combine violence and six into one despicable act, and get the best of both worlds!
Eh. Bestiality is better than necrophilia at least. It's still a living breathing animal of some kind.
Honestly, whenever I hear someone misuse the phrase "making love", when they actually meant just lustful/simple intercourse, I want to backhand slap the behind of their head... As I, too, do agree that six isn't love every single time. Heck, due to me being an Ace, six isn't love at all in my eyes. It's just an sickening act that is useless unless you want a child.
i agree that six and love aren't necessarily always connected..
as an example, I have a buddy i went to university with, a really kind and smart guy.. anyways, hes Asixual meaning hes not sixually attracted to anyone at all. however, two years back he did get married, because in his eyes love has nothing to do with physical attraction or sixual intercourse, but instead more of an emotional and spiritual connection..
I mean lets be honest, chances are if something in a video game is even remotely controversial, someone somewhere somehow is going to have a stick up their craw about it. Be it religion, depiction of women, nudity, violence, drug-use, LGBT etc.
Or how about both are disgusting, and anyone who practices either is a sick, twisted individual that needs to seek serious medical help from a psychologist.
Well, I have no problem with six in a video-game or in any other form of entertainment. However, when it's done poorly, then it tends to detract from the experience, especially in video-games where most of the story-telling devices tend to be sophomoric at best, much worse than many b-rated films.
I will say this -- If the game can implement six with a degree of maturity, without detracting from the story or flow of the game, I'll be happy, if not more than happy because it shows a high level of skill on the writers behalf.
