Converting Saves

Post » Tue Sep 29, 2015 3:23 pm

Hey.

I currently have The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on my Xbox 360 with no downloadable content bought or installed. However, I plan on buying the Legendary Edition on computer.

Here is my question.

I converted my Xbox Skyrim Save to a Computer Skyrim Save - and I was able to play it normally.

Although, would downloadable content interfere with the regular game save? If I buy the Legendary Edition, is the downloadable content within the game automatically installed or is it optional?

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to download the extra content and just play it.

As long as you aren't using any mods that conflict with it.

The DLC is automatically downloaded when you buy it. As long as the DLCs are checked in your load order they will be active in game.

For dawnguard, you should start seeing random vampire attacks not too long into the game. The city guards will start talking about the dawnguard also.

Just make sure the load order is correct.

It should look like this:

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Dawnguard.esm

Dragonborn.esm

Hearthfire.esm

I am not worried about the load order. I am worried about a non DLC save working on a game installed with DLCs.
