Alternatives to Unique Landscapes and Better Cities?

Post » Tue Sep 29, 2015 9:52 pm

Hey guys, I'm looking to change around my Oblivion install a little. I'm looking for some new mods to replace Unique Landscapes to try something a little different. I've tried out and like the mod http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42713/? and am looking for other non-UL mods that tweak wilderness areas a little. I'm not really interested in player homes or new towns/villages, as a few quest mods I play with already add more than I want lol.

I'm also looking for input on a Better Cities replacement. As much as I love BC I don't like playing at 12 FPS so it has to go lol. I'm thinking of Open Cities Reborn. Are there any other interesting mods that alter the vanilla cities?

Any ideas are welcome and appreciated. Thanks guys!

Hesu's Collection at Nexus might be an excellent alternatives to UL compilation. I never tried it myself but I read that it changes and adds some unique environments. It might conflict with what you are using though. Right now Mhahn is working on compatibility patches as we speak. For alternatives to BC, you could consider getting Imperial Unique Districts for Imperial City. For other cities there are not many alternatives. CUO series might be a good option but that is not available at nexus. If you don't know what CUO is... it's created by Giskard.. I'll leave it at that. Located where those mods are... you can find them here: http://www.fileplanet.com/104991/0/0/0/1/section/Cities

I'll be paying attention to this thread. I liked Better Cities but the Imperial City was very unstable and was the primary source of my CTD's. If I could just download the cities one by one, I would.

You can always install the other cities excluding the Imperial City, and you can install only the IC districts you want while excluding the others, BC is fully modular in that respect.
