ENBoost stuttering?

Post » Tue Oct 06, 2015 4:18 pm

Ok, this is giving me sweet hellish torture to be sure.... I just finished modding Skyrim for what seems the hundreth time, hoping the fat has been cut to the point of non existance, no conflkicting mods, no patch unused, every single way to help my system progress beyond it's recent capabilities has been implemented. and against my better judgment, i went and installed ENB to get the boost.

And now, for some odd reason, i'm getting stutters like nuts. i think i was fine outside, but as soon as i got into the keep, stutters compiled to the point of unplayable. idk how to say it any different, i've watched a few guides, ENboost on nexus guide laid out before me, and im confused. so tell me how to help you understand so that i can give you the info you need to then help me fix this, if that's alright.

I can give you my system specs:

intel core i7-2600 3.4GHz

8GB of Ram

AMD Radeon R7 260X with 2GB of Vram

64 bit windows 10 operating system

Below in the SPOiler is my ENBlocal INI

some things to try (only one each time of course):
restart your PC (from the shut down menu. DO select restart. don't shut down and switch on again. Win 8, 8.1 and 10 work differently here than win 7)
EnableCompression=true try setting it to false
VideoMemorySizeMb=5784 try 1500

a guide had told me to take my total graphics from display properties and round it out. so that's what i did, but maybe 2000 should do.

what does compression do?

ok, so everything is pretty darn smooth outside, but inside buildings it's still rather stutter happy.

Here are the lines from my enblocal.ini that are different from your's:

[GLOBAL]UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true //-Very important if you want ENboost ONLY UseDefferedRendering=false[MEMORY]ExpandSystemMemoryX64=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=64 //-I have an ATI HD 6870 1G and 6G system memoryVideoMemorySizeMb=5120 //-I followed the guide for Windows 7 64-bit[ANTIALIASING]EnableEdgeAA=false

I think Gamer Rick may have nailed it with UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true If this was set to false, then the OP was using an ENB, not ENBoost.

i was using enboost and started having trouble and someone said to unistall it and just see if your set up will run with out it cuz why have it if its not needed...so i did just that and now everything works great.
