Hello im playing Skyrim the vanilla hard disc and want to buy the other add ons from Xbox Live, when I try it says that I have to update to 1.9, is this 'safe' or a good idea? Im asking first because I Googled the 1.9 update and some dude said that he wanted to delete it but couldn't so he has to play on another Xbox 360 now.

I don't update anything until months after the release so I can see all the problems first, im still using the first edition of Chrome LOL.

I really want Dawnguard , Dragonborn and anything else Xbox Live has but not if the update will screw up my existing game im at level 42 and dont want to start over.

I've got an Xbox with 1.8 and another with 1.9. The only real difference is 1.9 has the lip synch bug, so dialog looks like a badly dubbed Karate flick. Other than that, 1.9 seems fine.
