You know like the Thieves Guild armor? The reason I ask is that I want to extra enchant with stamina regen and poison resist and I haven't come across any poison resist items besides the Brotherhood chest armor.

not really, the only thing of real use is the backstab bonus on the gloves, otherwise its just aesthetics

Ok thanks alot I went and sold my TG chest piece on accident so im waiting for the set to spawn in the training area now, I just wanted to make sure the Brotherhood armor iisn't necessary to finish the quest line, it does look cool though.

I never use the Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves armor any any Elder Scrolls game. It doesn't make sense to me that my character would walk around in public openly advertising the fact that she is a thief or an assassin.

Yeah I don't ever wear it either but its necessary to just have the complete TG set in order to finish the quest line.

I don't recall ever needing the TG armor set for the Guild quest line. Is the quest chain blocked for you? If so, at what point?

In any case, the DB armor is never a factor in the quest line IIRC, and there's never an option to trade it in for something better, so you can do what you want with it.

Huh, I didn't know that, generally my characters don't wear the "uniform"... but dark clothing or something that fit's their personality. I keep them though... if they enchant I find a spare set somewhere and use that....
