Ok, so basically i am new to Morrowind and i am an assassin/nightblade as i almost always am in Elder Scroll games

I have been pondering which great house to join for a few days now.

I have read in tips and guides that Hlaalu is for my character class, but i don't like their general background and their lore.

In the Skyrim Dragonborn DLC it seems they are morons and the Redoran it seems saved many Dunmer during the Oblivion Crisis and saved the nation as a whole during the Argonian invasion. But it turns out the Redoran are for the Warrior type of classes.

Will it feel too weird to be an assassin/nightblade and be in house Redoran at the same time? Or despite the fact that don't like the Hlaalu, just them beeing the house designed for my character class would make them the proper house i should join?

Maybe if you could join the Hlaalu plot in the Dragonborn DLC i would have joined the Hlaalu in Morrowind immediately but i would like there to be some continuety. The Hlaalu are basically a doomed house based on the events after ES:3 Morrowind.

Which house should i join? More importantly should my class dictate which house should i join based on rewards and quests or should i just pick a house based on my subjective opinion of their lore and background.
