The Brain with David Eagleman

I just watched an awesome show on my PBS (American public broadcasting system television) called The Brain with David Eagleman. Short https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTl2Odxgr54 about the show.

I have always been intrigued by our brains. So much we don't know about this wonder we each have.

In this show, he goes heavily into our perceptions and how they work, usually together. It almost had a "Matrix" vibe to it as he punched holes into my own "reality."

The most intriguing part of the show dealt with a man who, by accident, lost his eyesight at the age of 3 and a half years old. 40 years later, he was able to get an operation that gave him back his eyesight. The operation was a success, but his brain had lost out on 40 years of building up a "library" of visual input and he had lots of troubles "interpreting" what his eyes saw. Depth perception was an example of this huge lack of if info. He still uses his guide dog, for he has trouble interpreting what he is seeing.

All in all, questions of "reality" was woven throughout the show.

Anyone else that has a similar fascination with the brain like I do?

PS: http://www.pbs.org/ website Maybe they will have the show posted later on :)
