Play with existing (as in, non-new) dialogue?

In a sea of tutorials for how to record and add new dialogue for Skyrim, I can't seem to find any information on the existing dialogue.

I'd like to be able to make SomeNPC say SomeLineOfDialogue that exists for their voice type, but it can't really be as simple as just typing the words into the Dialogue box and checking "Has LIP File" can it?

I'd also like to rummage through the LIP files and see if I can find some unused recordings. Is there a way to browse and listen to the LIP files via CK, or would I have to extract some massive game files?

Thanks for any help you can offer, and sorry for such a newb question!
