Is the goty worth the cost

So I have heard that fallout is an incredible game and am considering buying it, there is only one problem, I dont know what version to get. the Best Buy near my house has the Platinum Hits Xbox 360 version for 20$ and the Target has the Game of The Year edition for 60$. Is it worth paying an extra 40$ for all the DLC? Currently I have enough cash to get the cheaper version should i buy it now and get the DLC later. If I do what DLC have the best value? any suggestions for me would be great

I suggest getting the GOTY edition. Maybe look elsewhere for better prices i.e amazon or something else.

In terms of DLC the general consensus is that Point Lookout and Broken Steel are the best DLC whilst The Pitt and Operation Anchorage are mediocre and the worst is Mothership Zeta.

Still the choice is yours but GOTY is the choice I'd make.

Well, buying the game now and buying all the DLC later will end up costing you a good hundred dollars or so, all told. The GOTY is an amazing deal, in that way. Also, on PS3 at least, buying the game then downloading the DLC later can cause some glitches in the game, while the GOTY rarely has any of these.

If you buy this game, you WILL want ALL the DLCs.

It should be in a hazard symbol on the case imo.

If you look around online, you can find the GOTY version for cheaper. I would definately reccomend the GOTY.

Point Lookout is probably the DLC with the best value, or Broken Steel only for the extra 10 level cap. Personally i liked the Pitt the best, but i dunno everbody has preferences

Just keep saving up those dollars and buy GOTY. It is that good.

The DLC adds heaps of new quests, weapons and enemies to the game. I could not imagine playing FO3 without Reavers and Overlords.
