No it's not at all. In fact it's very very different, being that I love history I could write three pages of why it's different. Instead I'll say this, the movie brave heart tell a true(ish) story of a fight for individuality and freedom of a nation against an empire....a very typically (but true) story in the history of this world. Skyrim tells a similar, yet typical, story....the only similarities is that Nords are Scandinavian/Scottish like, architecture/technology are around the same, and the way of life is the same (aside from magic).

About the only way Skyrim and Braveheart are similar to one another is that they're just as fictional. The amount of accurate historical facts in "Braveheart" you could write on the back of a postage stamp! I mean, Wallace wasn't even called "Braveheart". It was Robert the Bruce who was called "Brave Heart". If anyone's a hero of Scotland it's him, not Wallace, who historians say was more of a Viking type pillager.
