Preordering Fallout 4 ?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 1:26 am

Does it make sense at this point? I mean won't there be more editions (Special/Collectors)? Right now you can only preorder the regular one, I suppose. So if you want another edition (after 7 years of waiting you can bet your ass I want another one!) it's the best to wait a little more (maybe for the E3?)

I usually wait for the preorder bonuses to be announced to pick whatever vendor I order from.

Probably so, in regards to there being a CE. The game was only just announced so you can expect them to instantly have these all set up. I'd wait if you were planning on getting one.

There is definitely gonna be a CE, so I'd say adapt a 'wait and see' approach. Might get something cool like that lunch box from the FO3 CE.

Personally, I'm not pre-ordering it.

Gonna wait on it. It has not impressed me enough yet but I am really curious if there will be a CE or even a limited edition Fallout 4 themed console.

Interesting to note that the 'pre-order bonus' on Fallout 4 that grants you a 20% discount on your next purchase runs out on October 31st, 2015. Could be a placeholder date, but could also signal that the release might be early November.

I kind of liked the digital download for Witcher 3. Access to content earlier than most and I don't have to drive to the store to pick it up. Not to mention that regardless of digital or disk the Xbox One forces a download.

I'll pre order on my ps4 when it becomes available on the PS store.

I can't be bother lining up at the gamestop at midnight anymore. I'd rather sit on my couch and wait for midnight to come in comfort.

nah, I wouldn't pre order with out seeing some kind of game play. but once i do, unless i see or learn info that makes me want to not buy the game at all, I will very like pre order. maybe even get a collectors edition.

The other part of pre ordering The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a digital version or a physical boxed version from gog.com, Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network (PSN), Best Buy,GameStop, etc is that there is absolutely no pre order exclusive in game items like armor or weapons or quests. People who pre ordered The Witcher 3 from any where that sells video games get the same content. Other than gog.com getting free stuff like artwork and wallpapers.

I'm hoping Bethesda Game Studios takes a lesson from CD Projekt RED and does the same exact thing with Fallout 4's pre orders. Being tied to a certain store that sells video games with exclusive video game content is stupid.

Why do I have to pre order Fallout 4 from GameStop to get a AZ-91 laser rifle and then pre order from Best Buy to get a I don't know MIT developed Mini Nuke? I should have those 2 items from any store I purchase video games.

GameStop could just have the Fallout 4 pre order have a physical disc containing all of Fallout 4's music, while Best Buy can have Fallout 4 pre orders containing a physical steelbook.

But exclusivity in any store I hate so much.

Let's be honest: If you're on the forums for a game, you're pre-ordering the next game in the series' line. You can say "I'm not impressed yet," but you're still getting it. It's like Marvel fans and Marvel movies. You go because you have to experience it to know. You have to be a part of it.

As for me, I'm going to appear smart and say I'll wait for the bonuses to be announced, but I'm not kidding myself. Unless North Korea turns the game into a giant Trojan that we somehow find out about and the game's release is somehow still not delayed, I'm getting it.

Preordering anything in this day and age just leads to disappointment. Better wait and see.

I wouldn't, not until I see gameplay, not until certain information is gotten and lastly a date is announced.

This. I'll most likely wait for patching and DLC's first so I can experience the whole game.
