Is it possible to improve third person shooting with mods?

Like for example how the NPCs are able to use cover based shooting mechanics akin to what you would see in Uncharted, Max Payne or Gears of War.

The animations are already there and you can see that NPCs are able to blind fire from behind cover.

What would it take to assign a contextual button prompt from behind cover to "enter cover fire mode".

Someone should really make different third person reticules based on what type of gun is being used while adding some aim assist or a bigger hit box. You wouldn't believe how many times the tiny dot can be on an enemy's head 10 feet away and still miss.

In theory, everything is possible with a mod. In reality, I wouldn't ever expect to see a mod like that, too complicated to make.

I wouldn't call it anywhere near impossible, in fact it will probably be a mod to come out within the first 6 months.

The game already does some of this, it allows/does this to a small extent you can shoot out over low cover or around some cover the game automatically moves you out and in from some cover locations when you go into IS/Sighted mode, it's just a bit of conditionalizing on the animations and of course if the aims are classified as combat aims or if they are special idles as to how difficult this would be to finish off.

If they are combat Anims it would take someone like myself about 15 minutes post CK launch to do this, if they are SI's it's going to take scripting and most likely a FO4 Scripting Extender to do.
