PS4 framerate issues (Bethesda please read)

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 4:13 am

I remember when Skyrim came out I had intolerable pauses in gameplay. Fortunately, somebody posted a workaround (you had to start the game then do something to set the priority of the active process or some crap ... I forget) that kept me playing until the issue was fixed in an early patch.

The point is, I'm not surprised that any version of the game that people might be playing today before the game is officially launched might have some issue. Clearly, though, any such early installations don't include any patches that are scheduled to be released tomorrow.

We will have to wait and see what happens when things are actually supposed to happen.

Your posts are technical issues that don't belong in the general forum, about a game that hasn't officially released yet, and you wonder why they're removed?

And do they load the same amount of data, use the same amount of memoryand render the same stuff on the screen?

Here's the complete proof: very minor issues on both consoles, fps almost never drops bellow 25 fps so generally smooth across the board and never below 23 fps and the rare 24 or 23 never last more than one second. Xbox One is struggling a bit worse but again....this is a storm in a teacup....generally nonsense.

And here is the almighty proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPZXkdD1RwQ

How anyone can be satisfied with 25-30 frames is beyond me, my pc runs games like this on Ultra settings (do you even have those in PS4?) and 60 fps. :)

Funny, but if I got the game early I'd be playing it too. Hell, I've even clicked my Fallout 4 link a couple times just to see if Steam made it go live early by mistake. One can hope.

Very marginally the Xbox One has some extra struggle.....but overall both are A-OK imo.

So I watched it and yeah, the places it dropped, it made sense that it dropped. Sure in a perfect world they would have it render at 40-50 and then cap it at 30 but holy, some of those shots had 10 enemies on screen and vistas as far as the eye could see.

Thanks for posting that

edit: and usually, unless it drops below 14, I never notice the framerate anyways.

He makes it sound worse than it is.....the video is there, judge the footage, not the words. I personally didn't see the Xbox One 0 fps and overall they looked about the same.

Xbox one: Lowest low's

PS4: Loses to xbox one in some area's like in general wasteland

Personally i would go PS4 just so i dont get the stuttering of loading new area's and such or big towns.

You people didn't learn nothing. Bethesda games are un-optimized glitchy mess yet you keep throwing money @ them with pre orders and other day 1 [censored].

Good for you, nobody cares. People like you with your constant need for willy waving in a thread that doesn't even concern PC's are the reason PC gamers are hated upon so much. I am a PC gamer and I expect I'll get decent performance with my specs, but never have I felt the need to invade console specific threads and brag about my PC. you sir are a tool.

Edit: 25fps is NOT acceptable at all on ANY platform. and 25 second load times? if this is true then it's an instant no-purchase for me untill/if it is fixed.

I played for a couple of hours last night. Loading times when exiting a building can be up to 20-25sec, so this is accurate. I have not encountered any framerate issues at all. I'm not counting frames, but the game runs fine. (disclaimer: pre-patch, not yet visited heavily populated areas)

So the game is released and it's obvious that there are some serious priblems with performance. Sometimes it's 20 fps! It's f**king horrible! Especially when you have to fight a bunch of raiders/ghouls...it's just impossible to aim and only VATS saves the day. Don't get me wrong - the game is good, but with that level of graphics and constant enemy encounters drops to 20fps are unacceptable. Even The Witcher 3 was in better state at release(now it's almost perfect). I hope that Bethesda won't ignore such problems and we will get reply on the topic

Oh yeah!!! ..in the Witcher 3's forum for PS4.

mm...

And how did they fix that ??...

Oh yeah!!! after more than 5 months of it released, and after endless updates they finally fixed the framerate issues for PS4. Well, kind of.

And.... Dr. what the first day impacient fallout 4 gamers should do ?

Doctor: Well.. maybe play it as it is, and will be for a great while.

And the other ones Doc ??....

Doctor: well easy.. buy the game in march/april from next year.
