One of the first missions in the game - When Freedom Calls - seems to be glitched. I'm at the objective ordering me to 'Clear Concord of Hostiles'; the city is empty, but nothing happens. Any help or input is appreciated.

Did you go into the Museum and meet the Minutemen?

The objective to clear Concord of hostiles only appears after Preston gives you the order, yeah.

Quest is just glitched, as usual in Bethesda games.

Did you kill the chap on the roof of the building opposite the museum, when this happened to me and i reloaded he was the only man i missed the first time as i went out the front door of the museum as i had already found repaired and fueled the power armour before knowing it was part of the mission.

If you didn't go out the roof door go back up and see if the raider is still on the opposite roof!

I restarted from scratch and I have figured it out: the mission glitches if you kill the Deathclaw before the objective 'Clear Concord of hostiles' is given to you.

I killed the Deathclaw before I killed the last guy (cause it was attacking me>.>) and it didn't glitch on me.
